As Far as the Eye is a strategy game developed by Unexpected and published by Plug In Digital where the player takes on the role of a Shepherd who must lead their tribe of Pupils to safety before a catastrophic flood engulfs their home. The game is set in a procedurally-generated world and offers a unique blend of exploration, resource management, and turn-based strategy gameplay.

The player starts the game by selecting a Shepherd among four different species, each with their own unique abilities and weaknesses. They must then guide their tribe of Pupils through a perilous journey while managing resources such as food, water, and crafting materials. The game features a day/night cycle and unpredictable weather conditions that can impact both the player's resources and the tribal Pupils.

The gameplay involves a mix of turn-based strategy and real-time exploration, as the player must traverse dangerous landscapes and face various obstacles like steep cliffs, raging rivers, and hostile creatures.
